Company History
LTA Central is a host travel agency and is part of a well-established travel sales network and marketing organization.
LTA Central’s parent company, Leisure Travel Alliance, is a traditional travel agency consortium founded in 2007.
Leisure Travel Alliance launched LTA Central in 2013 with the acquisition of International Tours of Houston, a host travel agency in operation since 1974. LTA Central does not sell directly to the public. Our sole business is that of hosting our member agents.
International Travel Institute’s classroom – style travel school was also part of the 2013 acquisition. In 2025, we launched the online version of the International Travel Institute’s entry-level agent course eliminating the need for attendees to travel to Houston for classroom sessions.

Kathy Burns, CTIE
LTA Central General Manager
Kathy started her travel career as an independent contractor for International tours in 2011 and became a full-time member of the LTA Central staff in 2013. Kathy was promoted to General Manager in 2017.
Kathy has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Le Tourneau University. She was Treasurer for the Greater Houston ASTA chapter from 2019 through 2025. She also sits on the ASTA IC Advisory Committee. Kathy’s love of travel began as child when her family would take 3-week car trips visiting cities and historical sights in Eastern Canada and the Northeast and Midwest of the US. Prior to working in the travel industry Kathy spent 30 years in the accounting field.
William Robert (Bobby) Godwin
President
Bobby Godwin started his travel career in 2011 as Leisure Travel Alliance’s Director of Marketing. He was promoted to Vice President in 2014 and named President in 2022. Bobby holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University. He is the third generation of his family in the Travel Industry. He served as the first president of the Greater Austin ASTA Chapter helping launch the chapter and now serves on the chapter’s board of directors. He also holds a seat on the ASTA Consortium Committee. Prior to joining Leisure Travel Alliance, Bobby was the vice president of a web development company. He also spent a year in the auto industry after earning his degree.
D. Stuart Godwin III, CTC
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Godwin co-founded Leisure Travel Alliance in 2007 and served as the company’s president prior to assuming the role of chief executive officer in 2022.
Mr. Godwin’s career in the travel agent sector of the travel industry spans more than five decades. He started as a front-line travel agent with a major Houston travel agency. Over a fifteen year period, he held positions as an assistant manager, branch manager, general manager, vice president and executive vice president. Following his retail travel agency work, he co-founded and served as president of Consolidated Travel Services, a highly successful regional travel agency consortium. Upon Vacation.com’s acquisition and roll-up of Consolidated and six other travel agency consortia in 1999, Mr. Godwin served for seven years as Vacation.com’s Senior Vice President for the Western Region. As a career-long ASTA member, Mr. Godwin was appointed to serve on numerous ASTA regional and national committees and currently serves on ASTA’s Consortium Council.
